Undies & Pads

Yes. It's a great way to be very comfortable and simplify blood management. You will only need to empty your cup 2 times a day, and you can use lower absorbency undies.

Blood clots are handled just like a regular menstrual pad. Although they cannot absorb the clot, they will absorb the moisture, so you don't feel clammy or wet.

No. This does not make sense because both products have an anti-leakage layer, so you will not increase absorbency by combining both products. And you will feel very uncomfortable.

If your flow is very heavy, it's best to choose:

- 5-7 drop absorbent undies.

- Size L pads.

- Or you can combine both options with a menstrual cup to increase absorbency.

Both BIOpads undies and pads work with a 4-layer technology.

- The first layer is a breathable barrier, allowing flow to pass quickly through the inner layers.

- The two inner layers are responsible for absorbing and retaining all flow.

- The last layer is made of fabric with anti-leak technology.

They have been designed and tested to last up to 100 washes. Therefore, they can be used for approximately five years.

Silver, biocides, PFA, and nanotechnology, are not present in our products.

The absorbency of our undies and pads varies from 10ml to 150ml.

You can check the absorbency of each product according to the number of drops. Also, in the description of each product, you will find the equivalence of absorption in ml, tampons, menstrual pads, and menstrual cups.

Look at the correspondence according to your usual pant size.

If you are between two sizes, it is best to choose the larger size to feel more comfortable.

For light flow: Choose 1-3 drop products.

For moderate flow or light incontinence: choose 3-5 drop products.

For heavy flow or moderate incontinence: choose 4-7 drop products.

Yes, of course, it can.

Our goal is to completely replace single-use products.

More than 500k people have already joined sustainable intimate care with BIOpads.

Yes. Thanks to the breathable first layer, fluids pass quickly to the inner layers, so they do not remain in contact with your skin.

We recommend changing your undies at least every morning and evening. Depending on the abundance of your loss and the absorbency level you have chosen for your undies, you may need to make another change in the middle of the day. Try to adjust the absorbency of the panty to the level of leakage each day and to your schedule.

Regarding single-use products, they are no more hygienic than our products because they are made with materials that are toxic and irritating to you. In addition, when they come in contact with your menstrual flow or urine, they generate strange odors even though they try to camouflage them with scents. However, when you start using our products, you will see that blood doesn't really smell bad.

No, not at all.

All the fabrics we use have the Oeko Tex Standard 100 certificate that verifies the absence of harmful substances.

The unpleasant smell of blood you have experienced before is caused by the use of plastics and scents in single-use products.

Thanks to the breathable first layer, fluids quickly pass through to the inner layers so that they no longer come into contact with your skin. The inner layers are made of cotton. All materials are completely safe for your skin.

We recommend changing the undies at least in the morning and at night. Depending on the abundance of your loss and the absorbency level you have chosen for your undies, you may need to make another change in the middle of the day. Try to adjust the absorbency of the panty to the level of leakage each day and to your schedule.

Remember not to use hot water to wash your panties (because it reduces absorbency). Salt and tea tree essential oil can be added as natural antibacterials.

Depending on the total loss, it works well for mild to moderate incontinence.

We have different absorption levels, from 10 ml to 150 ml. So you can tell the absorbency of each undies by looking at the number of drops.

For light losses, choose products with 3-5 drops of absorption.

For moderate leaks, choose products with 4-7 drops of absorption.

If your leakage is occasional due to sneezing or coughing, products with 1-3 drops are sufficient.

Yes, of course, they will. There is no need to combine them with the cup. In fact, some of our undies and pads have a higher absorbency than menstrual cups.

No, we do not recommend it.

The good news is that we now have several swim styles available. You can see them at THIS LINK.

We assemble all breathable layers of our products in black.

Yes, we currently have our undies available up to size 6X.

Yes, the absorbency does not vary according to the size. You can see the absorbency of each product according to the number of drops.

The undies and pads are tested in our laboratories to last up to 100 washes, which is approximately 5 years of use. It depends on how many times you wash them per month.

We recommend using at least 2 per day.

If your flow lasts 5 days, you will need 10 undies. And if it lasts 7 days, you will need 14.

If you have never tried them, we recommend buying at least 2-3 to test the size and experience.

Yes, the undies work for all ages.

When you take them off, do the following

- Rinse with cold water.

- If there is a stubborn stain, you can gently rub or pour hydrogen peroxide on the stain.

- Keep the undies and pads in a bucket of cold water until they are washed. You can add salt or tea tree essential oil for its antibacterial function.

For washing:

- Use cold water, and wash by hand or in the washing machine.

- Avoid using Marseille detergent and any type of softener or additional product for washing.

- Avoid using heat: do not tumble dry or iron.

It may have lost absorbency. Just one wash will not be a problem. Washing them continuously with fabric softener will shorten their life span.

Heat damages absorbency and may also damage the absorbent area on seamless styles. If you don't see any damage, one drying will not be a problem. However, continuous drying will significantly shorten the life of the garment.

Preferably use detergents without softeners, Marsella.

Here are 4 ways you can make them as good as new.

1) Dry them in the sun.

2) If there are any stains, pour hydrogen peroxide on them stain before putting them in the washing machine.

3) Apply a baking soda paste with water (and if you want, add a few drops of lemon juice to boost it even more).

4) While you wait for the next wash, put them in a basin with salt.

For the first few days and hours postpartum, washable pads are the best option, especially size L. They absorb up to 150ml and are very soft and smooth.

Once you get through the heavier flow days and your abdomen starts to feel better, it's the ideal time to switch to absorbent underwear. We recommend starting with the 5-7 drop undies.

Yes, you can add it to the wash. We recommend eucalyptus and tea tree. Since it has purifying, refreshing, and antibacterial properties.

Yes. You can wash the undies and pads by hand or in the washing machine.

Wash them in cold water.

Use a detergent that is not a Marseille detergent and does not contain fabric softeners.

Do not wring them.

Air dry or dry in the sun, do not tumble dry.

You can hang them near a heat source without direct heat. This way, you can speed up the drying time without applying direct heat.

Menstrual Cups

1. Before the first use, you must sterilize it by leaving it in boiling water for 3 minutes.

2. To insert it, just fold it inside your vagina. You can wear it for up to 12 hours at a time.

3. To remove it: press the base to break the vacuum and pull the stem to take it out.

4. Rinse it with water, and you can insert it again or keep it in its cloth bag until the next cycle.

100% surgical-grade medical silicone.

You can safely wear it for up to 12 hours.

Some days you may need to empty it before if the flow is very abundant.

No, not at all.

You may notice an odor when you take it out and empty it. This is caused by the iron in the blood. It is completely normal and varies from woman to woman.

Size S: if you have not had natural childbirth.

Size L: after the first natural childbirth.

There are several ways to fold the cup to insert it. At BIOpads, we recommend these two because they are the easiest.

The C-bend is the easiest to make.

The tulip fold makes it easier to place it inside.

Another detail to remember is that the entire stem must be inside your vagina.

Yes, you can practice any sport with total comfort and safety.

It is safe. But you must know how to use the menstrual cup correctly. You can use a menstrual cup if you have an IUD. Still, studies suggest that women who used a menstrual cup had a higher rate of IUD dislodgement than women who used tampons or pads. Although this is a personal choice, we recommend you talk to your doctor first. Let's say you want to use the cup and have an IUD inserted. We recommend waiting three months after the IUD insertion (to allow it to settle). It is also a good idea to cut the threads. Always be sure to break the suction completely before you start removing the cup.

Yes, it is the most comfortable option. It is also a more hygienic solution than tampons since the cup does not absorb liquid, and tampons do.

Size S absorbs 25ml and size L, 35ml.

The first time you receive it and before each cycle:

- You must put it for 3 minutes in boiling water to sterilize it. Insert it only after the water comes to a boil.

Every time you empty it while you are using it:

- Rinsing it with water is enough.

- If you want, you can use intimate soap if you feel it needs extra cleaning.

Toxic shock syndrome is a disease that affects both men and women. It is not only associated with the use of tampons.

Although it is a rare disease, several risks can lead to the appearance of the toxic bacteria that cause it.

These are the most common causes:

- Having recently given birth

- Staphylococcal infection

- Tampon use during menstruation

- Recent surgery

- Infection of a wound

- Using a nasal packing to treat bleeding

- IUD and tampon use at the same time

The guideline of removing and emptying the cup every 12 hours is precisely to avoid any possibility.

The menstrual cup lasts up to 10 years.

If it turns yellow, you can bleach it:

- Exposing it to the sun

- Leaving it for at least 12 hours in a glass of hydrogen peroxide.

- Cleaning it with a paste of baking soda and water.

If you notice that it begins to release dust, you should replace it with a new one.

It works like the menstrual cup and has the same advantages: it lasts up to 10 years, and you can wear it for up to 12 hours.

Thanks to its design, it allows you to have sexual intercourse without having to remove it.

Yes, because you can wear it for up to 12 hours, you can wear it all night long without any problem.

No, it is not necessary.

If it turns yellow, you can bleach it:

- Exposing it to the sun

- Leaving it for at least 12 hours in a glass of hydrogen peroxide.

- Cleaning it with a paste of baking soda and water.

The cup:

- It is made with 100% surgical-grade medical silicone.

- It collects blood without leaving a residue or changing your pH.

- Lasts up to 10 years

- So, you will only need 4.5 for your entire life.

- So, it's a more economical solution.

The tampon:

- It's made with cotton, rayon, polyester, polyethylene, and scents.

- It absorbs blood and vaginal discharge and leaves residue.

- It only works for 1 use.

- So you will need +11,000 for your entire life.

- Therefore, it is a much more expensive solution.

Company & Sustainability

BIOpads is an English-owned business. Therefore, all our garments are designed here. However, to accommodate the volume of our orders and some of the techniques required, we produce all our garments overseas.

BIOpads works closely with several suppliers outside the UK who comply with labor standards and fair wages. In addition, all our fabric manufacturers and suppliers are Oeko Tex Standard 100 certified, guaranteeing the absence of harmful substances in the fabrics.

We manufacture our underwear carefully and consciously, from sustainable manufacturing processes to ethical working conditions. We make sure that every pair is made with conscience and dignity.

Our factories are also certified by the Business Social Compliance Initiative.

Yes, BIOpads offers sustainable intimate care alternatives. Using our products will save up to 11,000 tampons and menstrual pads. This will mean significant financial savings and a reduced amount of waste you generate.

More and more people are starting to use our sustainable solutions, and together we have already saved more than 300 tons of waste.

Yes, all our solutions are sustainable because they help to reduce waste; and vegan because no animal raw materials are used in their production.

Currently, you can get our products on our website thebiopads.com.

Yes, the protective shipping bag and zipper bag are both made of biodegradable material.

We ask and recommend that you reuse them and do not throw them directly into the trash.

You can use the delivery bag to put food scraps in while cooking or to collect your family animal's droppings.

The zippered bag can be used as a toiletry bag in your purse, for your travel bag or to store accessories. You'll love its design and want to use it all the time.

Because they are mainly composed of plastics, they generate waste and pollution in landfills (hopefully, they actually get there) and take more than 300 years to degrade.

Thanks to the materials we use at BIOpads, our products take 2 months to 1 year to degrade. So with the added bonus that they will last you several years, you will stop creating waste with single-use products.

Get them as soon as possible and stop using single-use products.

You can opt for any of the 3 options we offer:
