FAQs
Absorbent underwear & pads
Yes. Many women use BIOpads together with a menstrual cup for extra comfort and peace of mind.
This allows you to empty your cup less often and choose a lighter absorbency level.
No. Combining both doesn’t increase absorbency and may feel uncomfortable, as both products already include an anti-leak layer.
BIOpads use a multi-layer absorbent system:
- A breathable top layer that allows fluid to pass quickly
- Inner absorbent layers that retain moisture
- An outer anti-leak layer for protection
They are designed to feel dry, secure and comfortable throughout the day.
Yes. While clots are not absorbed, moisture is quickly absorbed so you don’t feel wet or uncomfortable.
Sizing & absorbency
BIOpads fit like regular underwear.
If you’re between two sizes, we recommend sizing up for extra comfort.
- Light support: light flow or occasional leaks
- Moderate support: daily leaks or moderate flow
- Extra support: heavier flow, overnight use or extra security
Each product clearly indicates its absorbency level on the product page.
Most women use 2 per day.
For a 5-day cycle, we recommend around 10 pairs.
If you’re new to BIOpads, starting with 2–3 pairs is a good way to test fit and comfort.
Hygiene & safety
Yes. Fluids quickly pass through the top layer and are retained inside, so they don’t stay in contact with your skin.
No. Odour is usually caused by plastics and fragrances in disposable products.
BIOpads are breathable and free from added scents, so natural odour is minimised.
No. All fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, verifying the absence of harmful substances.
Yes, for mild to moderate urine leakage, depending on absorbency level.
For occasional leaks (e.g. coughing or sneezing), lighter absorbency is usually sufficient.
Care & durability
BIOpads are tested to last up to 100 washes, which is approximately 5 years depending on use.
One wash or drying cycle is unlikely to cause damage.
Repeated use may reduce absorbency and shorten product lifespan.
Menstrual cups & discs
Up to 12 hours, depending on your flow.
- Size S: if you haven’t had a vaginal birth
- Size L: after vaginal childbirth
It’s generally safe, but we recommend consulting your healthcare provider and always breaking the suction before removal.
Up to 10 years with proper care.
